Parents:
Come to this meeting to find out why the Home & School Association had an overwhelming demand to repeat this panel discussion, originally presented in June, 2007! Hear students’ advice and insight into getting the most out of a Middle School or High School experience. Learn how to prepare your child on a variety of topics, including:
- Transitions:
Middle School to High
School: Students share their insight and offer
advice to parents on what they would like your
children to know about the school year and how to
make a successful transition to their new school.
• Academics to Athletics: Hear advice from students on how to balance the rigorous academic demands of the Mountain Lakes High School while maintaining excellence on the athletic field.
• Homework, Tutors and Making the (Test) Grade: Find out what students think makes the academic difference and why.
• Middle School Matters: Learn what students say about their middle school experience and what recommendations they have for parents to help their children enjoy these years while preparing for the academic rigors of high school.
• Socializing at the High School: Social demands are real; hear what positive strategies have helped students make the right social choices.
Be “In the
Know” -- bring your child and your questions -- and
get the answers!
